I am a big fan of using small amounts of black even when decorating for Christmas. Plus, it keeps the table from feeling too formal. It is a creamy neutral, so it can be used year round, but I love the texture that it adds. Here is my naked table except for the new table runner I found at Walmart. Here is my version of an elegant and festive Christmas table! One of my favorite things about Christmas is bright and cheerful Christmas decor however, sometimes I like for my decor to have an elegant touch as well. I know I say this a lot, but this is my favorite Christmas table I have ever done! I knew I wanted the table to be a little more elegant than the rest of the house, but I wanted it to be festive at the same time. Remember, it doesn’t have to be expensive, or complicated. Plus, I had to throw in my favorite Christmas mug that I love to drink my morning coffee from. This is budget decor at its finest because I already had the vase and the stems came from Dollar Tree. My kitchen island got glammed up a bit with a pretty vase and some pretty Christmas floral stems. ![]() And, what about the snowman mugs? Those came from Dollar Tree and they are the cutest! Coffee tastes better when you drink if from a cute mug! I use the ornament cookie jar to hold my coffee pods, which is really convenient. ![]() The Merry sign is from Home Goods and I love the pop of gold against the white.Ī Christmas kitchen isn’t complete without a Christmas coffee bar! I spend a lot of time in this area of my kitchen, so I want it to be pretty and festive. Decorating with pretty greenery is one of my favorite things to do at Christmas and I hope to do more of it in the future. My sister-in-law made the wreath a couple of years ago and it always has a place front and center. ![]() The hood over the stove is my favorite thing to decorate in the kitchen. It is the perfect simple kitchen Christmas decor. All of the decor I am currently using is the same decor I have been using for the last several years. I usually keep my normal decor out and about through the kitchen and then decorate around it. That is why I like to keep my Christmas decor simple by adding a few festive touches around the room. There is always a lot of hustle and bustle in the kitchen with all of the baking, cooking, and entertaining. Once you have poured in your mixture, fill the remaining 1/3 with mini marshmallows. Finish off your hot chocolate container with a bow to attach your peppermint sticks.The kitchen is the heart of the home especially, at Christmas. Mason jars are also a cute alternative and can be used year round. You can find similar containers on Amazon here or I picked these up at my local Dollar Tree. If you are gifting the hot chocolate pour mixture into your small container so that it fills the container up about 2/3. Garnish with your choice of a peppermint stick, mini marshmallows or mini chocolate chips. Serve 1/3 cup mixture to 2/3 cup hot water. Mix thoroughly and you are ready to serve. Pour your powdered milk, Nesquick, Coffee Mate and powdered sugar into a container. Make it boozy: Original Bailey’s or Salted Caramel Bailey’s Optional: peppermint sticks, mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips *This makes about 40 single cup servings* Would you believe me if I told you it was only 4 ingredients?! Sometimes I can’t even believe it myself! If you find some, please let me know! You can also ask several of my friends that come over just to have a cup! I finally talked Momma into letting me share her magical recipe with all of you. I always venture out at restaurants to try and get my hot chocolate fix but I have yet to find any hot chocolate that competes with Momma’s. To this day I have at least one cup a day if not more! It is the perfect treat to remedy your sweet tooth and also to keep yourself warm. For as long as I can remember I have helped my mom make several batches of this goodness for ourselves and also as gifts to others. ![]() One of my favorite guilty pleasures during the holiday season and well after Christmas, is Momma’s homemade hot chocolate.
